I should have understood from the start that this place was dreadful. To start with, no one ever answered the office phone. It took us ages to make an appointment to view the property. When someone does answer the phone, it's from their off-site office, so they are unable to assist. Their staff is frequently changing so service requests, grievances and worries get forgotten. As soon as I moved in, I had to submit more than 20 service requests. It has been 8 months since I notified them that my ceiling is leaking (near the light fixture in my dining room). According to the health department, it is considered a health and fire risk. There are cockroaches everywhere. Tenants get charged a monthly pest fee, yet when you ask for pest control, nothing gets done. As I write this, my flat is 82 degrees and my AC has not worked in weeks. There have been several service requests yet nothing has been taken care of. I contacted the health department after living in these horrendous conditions for seven months. I was informed that someone from the health department visits this property on a weekly basis due to all the complaints. The county should shut this place down until it is up to code.
