Despite loving the apartment for its high ceilings, exposed brick, and generous size, we had problems that were never fixed during our one-year stay, suggesting that management had no intention of addressing them. These issues, though seemingly minor (broken window blinds, missing screens, and a bees nest in one of the windows), had a great impact on our day-to-day life. Eventually, I had to take care of the bee infestation myself, and we just had to accept the other issues. It was evident that maintenance was not a priority for the management company, since the maintenance personnel always seemed too busy, and other residents' issues went unresolved. As an example, a pipe burst in another part of the building and was left unfixed for weeks (picture included). As a result, my evaluation of the management company is less than favorable, since they failed to prioritize maintenance and had insufficient staff to handle a large complex. All the staff were great and the apartments were really good overall. The location was superb, right by the Detroit River Walk, with several coffee shops, restaurants, and bars within walking distance.
