Parking is a bit of a challenge as each apartment can have as many visitors parking in the same shared spaces. Section 8 housing so you get that caliber of neighbors. Most friendly overall, most also financially challenged. Worlds better than it was 10 years ago. The violence and general lack of safety have been completely transformed and improved for the better. Holland Public Safety has a very obvious presence making a display of force on a sometimes multiple times per day basis. Almost no amenities to speak of other than a under utilized outdated childrens playground and part of the parking lot repurposed as a basketball court. Lots of non-Caucasian families, single parent families and mixed guardian families present. Very Diverse!more ...hide ...

There's a loft with one bedroom downstairs, plus washer and dryer hookups. The storage space is sufficient, however, certain things should have been fixed before we moved in. Elaine was our contact when we were waiting for approval; she was very helpful and answered all our questions. I do not like the parking lot or hallway area, though: there are lots of potholes in the parking lot that have caused me to get a flat tire! They attempted to patch them up but they just got worse over time. Additionally, the carpet in the hallway has been filthy since our tour and still hasn't been cleaned after six months - it's getting worse too. It's embarrassing when friends visit us due to this issue! We've had other issues that needed repair as well but maintenance moves slowly - you need to keep calling until they come out. I'm not sure how fast they would be if something serious happened though; hopefully it would be taken care of right away then! In conclusion, if I could stay inside my apartment so that I can't see what's outside or make people close their eyes while entering my place - that'd be much better for both me and my husband!more ...hide ...
