The walls were quite thick, resulting in only a few times when I was able to hear my neighbor having a quarrel with their partner. I never had a dispute with them, even though some could be nosy. There is a park right across the street, but it would be nice if they had a space within the courtyard for dogs. Before the COVID pandemic, the park used to host a lot of free events. The mailroom is always locked and the Luxor room is where packages are left, and I never had a problem with stolen packages. The underground parking is somewhat pricey, however, I felt secure and I never had any break-ins. The maintenance was good.
The cons include: the downtown area of Saint Paul being rather dull, the main elevator and exiting garage door often breaking down, the apartment not being renovated and small for its cost, and a few times homeless people sleeping in the corridor. Additionally, the bus station is directly in front of the apartment, so you can hear the bus and sometimes people yelling for it. On one occasion, I saw a man standing in the bus shelter and urinating.
On the whole, I would say my experience was satisfactory.more ...hide ...
