I had the pleasure of staying at Hawkins for three years. Despite some people's negative outlook, it can be a great experience. It is especially beneficial if you are of low income. It is especially beneficial if you are of low income. These apartments are located within the Rockwood school district, making it an ideal place to raise children. Despite having limited funds, one cannot complain about the availability of affordable housing in a middle-class district with excellent schools. My apartment was in good condition - two bedrooms of a decent size, plus a small patio space. I found the management to be excellent, as they would often inspect for clutter, spray for bugs, and respond to maintenance requests within a day or two. Although there were kids playing outside, I never had an issue with them - though I did once stumble across a little girl dumpster diving. I brought her back to her apartment, where the adults were unfortunately neglectful. On the whole, most of the neighbors were friendly and took care of their children. Whenever there was trouble, such as public arguments or fighting, the police would be informed and the people involved would be evicted. I am thankful for having the opportunity to get back on my feet in a clean, affordable environment that was safe. I highly recommend this housing complex to anyone I know who is financially struggling.more ...hide ...
