I am a disabled Grandmother and veteran who is raising a granddaughter that I adopted after she was abandoned at 13 months Nia is 12 years old now7th grade I had been living at Heron Lakes Apts in Valdosta GA an LIHTC Property for the past 3 years which was quite a distance from my adult children in MD to travel in the event that something were to happen to meand that quotsomethingquot did happen after being there for 3 years Prior to that I039ve lived at Whitford Place Apartments in NC for 4 years another LIHTC Propertyat which both my rental payment history and housekeeping were always noted as pristine Both properties were LIHTC properties I had a back injury last year which required surgery and one of my adult daughters felt that it would be better for me to be closer to where I would have the care and support that I would need to recover My children came to GA and moved me to MD where I am right now My daughter039s lease expired at the end of October and the Landlord a friend of hers allowed her to rent month to month with a rental increase of 250 My daughter agreed and we thought that everything was okay Two days ago my daughter was given a 45 day notice to vacate right at the holiday season reason being that the landlord isn039t getting along with her parents with whom she moved in to save up money to catch up her billsher reason for renting her property So now Tiffany the landlord wants to come back home Forget whether or not the kids will have Christmas right My daughter has friends here in MD with whom I039m certain that she can possibly crash with for a month or so until she can find suitable housing for her 3 children but Nia and I will be without a place to live Basically homeless Everything that I own is still packed in boxes in my daughter039s shed the way that it039s been since moving her this past May I am in panic mode right now I039ve never been placed in this sort of horrible position before My question is do you have any availability at all Even if it039s a one bedroom until a 2 or 3 bedroom becomes available If not can you share some ideas with me I appreciate any help that you can provide Thanks so much

I had to switch to a different unit and water damage from the bathroom to my kitchen light fixture appears every few months. That's not only in my space, but also my neighbor's. The ceiling above the shower in my bathroom is flaking. The plumbing is awful. We aren't allowed to have barbecues on the grounds. The basketball court is unlocked whenever they want. The pool closes at 5 pm when it's open. We eventually obtained someone to mow the grass, but they only do that, leaving the other landscaping such as the bushes and edges not attended to. The last proprietors at least had the landscaping tidied up after cutting the lawn. It's not worth the amount of money spent here. But they are more concerned with the cars parked here. Focus on upgrading the real estate first, not just the aesthetics. I seldom post reviews, but I'm done with this place! The rent goes up more than it should. There were a couple repairs that were necessary. They were completed in a .timely manner. The only thing they wouldnt fix was the dishwasher that had a terrible mold problem.We got back the entire deposit when sheoved out. No charges for wear and tear or damage. more ... hide ...
