I'm very particular about who does my hair and I chose this place based on the NEGATIVE reviews, not the positive ones. The owner's effort to satisfy the customers and offer them a redo was what I was looking for. Plus, the salon was SPOTLESS! I just dropped by without an appointment and they saw me right away (lucky me, since it was still early). Yolanda's shampooing and retwisting technique was amazing; she got me hooked! The price was fair and the service was the best. I'm overjoyed to have found this place and I'm not going anywhere else! If you had a bad experience here, look in the mirror because they are the BEST! Wish I knew earlier! Thank you Doris and Yolanda; I'll be back soon! more ... hide ...

I would have only given it two stars, but the salon was so lovely and the staff so friendly. I am thankful to the lady who did my boyfriend's hair at the last minute; however, the work was rushed and some locs were missed. I took care of fixing the extensions while I retwisted his hair. I don't mind the sloppy job, since it was done quickly. For $300 plus a tip, this was the result. The lady also told me that she could not make some of the locs longer since it would be too heavy for his roots. His hair is very soft and fine, so it comes out when he sweats, lays down, or scratches. That is why I interlock his hair, so it stays longer than with a regular palm roll retwist. Furthermore, she did not understand why I left some hair out at the front, so it would not get cut when doing a shape up. The outcome would have been different if his hair had not been locced, but this is my experience. I will go back and see how well she can retwist his hair. All in all, I am grateful that she was able to do his hair and I wish her business the best of luck! more ... hide ...
