The property in question was a full rental priced place at $550 a month, plus an additional $100 for utilities. As a single mother of two on a bi-weekly paycheck of little over $700, I could not keep up with the payments and bills. When an issue occurred and the rent money was taken out of the following paycheck, the property management office refused my payment. Colonial Terrace did not take into account my situation as a single parent trying to make ends meet with two growing children. Now that I am unemployed, I can't even try to get a place there. I am looking for work but with the high cost of rentals in this town, I won't be able to afford it.
