Pinehurst has gone thru a huge change with more to come. In the year and a half I have been there , the place has cleaned up tremendously. Future is bright for Pinehurst.
This apartment complex is only recommended to single, homeless individuals. It is not suitable for families or elderly people as the washers and dryers usually don't work properly. There have been complaints of bed bugs in the building and it took a family three months to get their air conditioning system replaced after they had reported it to the landlord. Another tenant reported their smoke alarm malfunctioning to the landlord but no action was taken. The landlord has been known to threaten eviction without notice if his mother doesn't like a tenant. He accepts Section 8 but if a tenant loses their Section 8 assistance, he will look for someone who will benefit from it more than them. One family has been waiting more than two months for their security deposit to be returned. All of this leads to a one-star rating, as a better landlord and improved maintenance are needed. Nevertheless, single people should still consider the complex, but families and the elderly should avoid it for certain reasons.more ...hide ...
