I have been a resident of Tower 43 for 16 months. I find this place quite comfortable. Meeting long time residents saying how happy they are here. I have found this to be true. My experience with the staff is rewarding. I have been a resident of Tower 43 for 16 months. I find this place quite comfortable. Meeting long time residents saying how happy they are here. I have found this to be true. My experience with the staff is rewarding. They are helpful and friendly. There have been a couple of maintenance issues, not from any neglect, that were immediately handled satisfactorily. The manager does nice little things that make us feel special. It is a comfort to feel safe and be welcomed.more ...hide ...

My opinion about this place has changed over time, so here's the full story. I'm giving it three stars because there are both good and bad things about it.

The Good:
-Nice apartments for people 55 and older
-Pets allowed
-Keyed/intercom entry, plus wheelchair accessible entrance and elevators
-Laundry on each floor
The Bad:
-Despite the building being smoke free, there is a heavy smoker on the first floor (and possibly third) while the second floor smells fine. A man passed away on the second floor which left a mess of drips in the hallway that was only cleaned after I brought attention to it - they even rented out that apartment before it was cleaned!
-There is one recycling bin for the whole building - a typical city bin located only on the first floor! It makes it difficult for those living higher up to recycle, leading to more waste ending up in landfills. It's clear this company does not care about environment at all. Also expect rent to go up when renewing lease.
While these are nice apartments and less than two years old, they need more maintenance staff so matters such as hallway carpets can be addressed quickly; also recycling needs to be more convenient!more ...hide ...
