After 5 years of enduring the utter chaos of living downtown & watching the disparity between those with and without homes spiral out of control, we finally found salvation & moved out. We went out of our way to rent a carpet cleaner & put in the effort to leave our old apartment in the best condition possible after having lived in that particular unit for over 2 years. Despite our efforts, we received a bill for almost $800 for replacing the carpet €” this is standard procedure for any apartment lived in for over 1 year €” listing the reason it was replaced as €œurine damage€ ... this fallacious accusation was disputed on the basis that there was ABSOLUTELY NEVER urine, human or feline, in our carpets, and the report from the third party vendor was clearly falsified €” photos of our *undamaged* carpet upon move out were included with our dispute. It was acknowledged by the management by reducing the charge (still over $400), however it is unconscionable to charge previous tenants for unfounded/non-existent damages with no proof other than a misrepresented report. Our second dispute was ignored & the bill was sent to collections... it is unethical and utterly revolting that companies like Cambridge are free & clear to make false accusations, blatantly ignore pictorial evidence of the fact that the accusations were false & still push it through to collections as though our dispute never mattered in the first place. It is cause for wonder, what is the point of going through the work to dispute false charges if they will just be sent to collections anyway? Upon disputing the charges with the collections agency, we were told that simply because these people have deemed it so, the case will remain open until paid. Thoroughly disgusted with the total lack of human awareness displayed by the individuals on the management team, I hope anyone reading this who is considering living here will heed the warning to RUN! This place is not one you want to call home...more ...hide ...

Our washer and drier were absolute garbage and broke within a couple months. They gave us a replacement that looked like it can from a junk yard and barely works. It constantly sounds like a screeching car. Our dishwasher should not even be here as I have to rewash everything after I run it. The insulation between floor 4 and 5 does not exist, so be ready to have no peace or be able to sleep because it sounds like elephants are above you. The elevators are always broken, and one has currently been broken for about 3 months. Be ready to wait about 5 minutes for your elevator in the morning. The doors are also constantly broken, so do not be surprised if you fob does not work to open them at times. Lastly, they nickel and dime you moving out, rent, and parking. Set aside about $1,000 to cover yourself for move out and parking. They will not work with you and do not take anyones situation into consideration. They charge premium rent and parking for what???? Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. There are better options.more ...hide ...

This is the behavior tht they allow to go on. Horrible place. I think management took the nice microwave home for themselves and then charged me for dumping it there how cool is that. They should be sued for taking advantage of the poor.more ...hide ...
