This old building I love is on the national historic registry list and is over 100 years old. It was once three separate buildings but was combined several years ago and updated to meet earthquake codes, though the outside couldn't be altered. It was once three separate buildings but was combined several years ago and updated to meet earthquake codes, though the outside couldn't be altered. Despite the dated windows, it is still a beautiful structure. It has four floors, one of which is a basement with five units. It features studio apartments with one bedroom, an elevator, a laundry room, a community room, and a computer room. In addition, there is a courtyard which serves as the smoking section in the basement. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, we had community dinners at least once a month, activities led by some of the residents, and other community-based events. A cleaning crew visits weekly to vacuum the communal areas and keep them tidy. We are located in the Goose Hollow neighborhood close to Providence Park, Stadium Place Fred Meyers, and The Pearl. There are a variety of places within walking distance and it is typically quiet, however, during the Timbers' season, it gets a bit livelier.
