After my mother passed away on June 4th and her rent was paid through the end of the month, all they wanted to know was when the apartment would be cleaned out. I cleaned it out by June 20th. They don't answer their phones and apparently don't listen to their messages. When I told them I would be down to pick up my mother's mail at the end of June, they told me they had already notified the post office that my mother had passed and were not taking anymore of her mail, even though she had every right to receive it until the end of June. When I called and left a message questioning my mother's deposit, all they did was send me a repeat letter. There was no verbal contact. Totally rude.
Fast forward to August 28th, they called and left a message that they had some of my mother's mail and wanted to know what to do with it. I called and of course no one answered so I left a message asking them to hold onto it until I could retrieve it at some point the following week. When I drove down there, I was told that the mail had been sent back to the post office. Again, try listening to your messages!
Like I said, there is no compassion or empathy for deceased tenants' loved ones - all they care about is getting the apartment cleaned out for the next tenant.more ...hide ...
