2022-12-03T00:35:04ZI lived in Waterloo Flats until June of this year and it was Not great The main problem was an infestation of German roaches Literally the first thing I saw the day I moved in was a roach on the wall Pest control came out multiple times over the dura I lived in Waterloo Flats until June of this year and it was Not great The main problem was an infestation of German roaches Literally the first thing I saw the day I moved in was a roach on the wall Pest control came out multiple times over the duration of our lease but the unit had so many gaps under the baseboards and such which normally I wouldnt mind that the roaches could just nest in the wallsnnThere was also a period of several months where we couldnt access our mailbox Several mailboxes had been broken into and it took ages for them to be repaired For that entire time we never received any communication from the leasing office about how to access our mail I missed a wedding invitation and my roommate missed a hospital billnnI dont recommend living here unless you literally cant afford anywhere else more ... hide ...

When I initially moved in, the apartment was in an appalling condition - dead cockroaches, used toilet paper and uncleaned bathrooms. I had to wait two weeks for their cleaning service to arrive, and even then the tubs were still clogged so I couldn't shower. The cockroach issue persisted, and the 'solution' was a guy coming in and spraying something for a minute, which made no difference. The maintenance was always an issue, with things falling and breaking off and the AC making loud noises. The front office was friendly before I signed the lease, and then went cold afterwards. It's been three years since I moved out, and I still haven't received my security deposit. They keep saying it's in the mail, but no tracking number has been given. Avoid this place - it's not worth the hassle, even if Austin is getting expensive. more ... hide ...
