It still attracts some questionable people. The manager and his staff are nice, but some residents don't dispose of their trash properly and this has caused an issue with roaches and rodents. The fire escape window is being left open, allowing others to enter the building without permission, and the former residents still come by to hang out and take up the elevator for extended periods of time. Most of the apartments don't have any floor covering, and some are better than others. It's a work in progress, so if you need somewhere to live close to the Alamo and Travis Park, this is the place for you. It is based on income. The wine bar downstairs is no longer there, but instead there is a loud bar and other activities that are not neighborly. We got back home around 7pm and there was a valet service taking up all of the parking spots in front of the building, which are metered. Most of the residents had to park a few blocks away. There are many different parking permits, it would be best not to have a car, but to use public transportation or walk instead. There are always homeless people asking for money and some shady bars and tattoo parlors nearby. The hotel is high-end, and there are some nice businesses close by.more ...hide ...

They care for all the elderly they provide help when needed and to me that means a lot. There are people who live there that like to stir trouble. Avoid them at any cost and you will be OK. Plus, we need good security and our doors closed at exactly 10pm. I wish it was earlier because of the homeless across the street. Overall the renovations done are excellent. I have enjoyed all the maintenance workers too because they do an excellent job to keep the place beautiful.more ...hide ...
