I would give 0 or negative stars if I could. Apparently management doesnt like broken things on their property unless its theirs. Ill explain. When police found it it was very heavily damaged and I paid well over 200 dollar to get it back to my apartments, well they towed it anyway. Which is pretty funny when you consider the fact my mailbox was broken into and destroyed SIX MONTHS AGO and still hasnt been fixed. They wont take money orders, checks, and half of the debit cards wont work on their website. So they make it almost impossible to pay your bills too. Every maintenance request i put in takes at least a month to get to. If ever. And they never, and I do mean NEVER respond to emails, or voice mails. Also, dont bother trying to contact corporate because they wont ever respond to you either. I have tried on many occasion to reach out to staff to find them not in the office, actively avoiding my calls and emails, this review is my last resort of trying to get my issues heard.more ...hide ...

Lived here for 8 months so far still dont have not a single firealarm in my apt. No peephole in our door and no number on the outside. Also we got a fake accusation saying we had holes in our walls due to \"fighting\" and when they came and did their walk-through (Louri and Noie) they saw that the complaint was indeed false but never took down our violation. There are never problems with us paying our rent on time and I have brought it to Louris attention that our neighbors are harassing us and she wrote us the last violation this morning instead of the neighbors that are doing the harassment. Louri shows favoritism here at these apartments and our latest phone conversation was recorded and it shows how unprofessional she really is. I told her I left her a voicemail about the neighbors harassing us over the weekend and never got a call back or anything.. Lourr says its because she was in the hospital. When you have the responsibility of manager at a apartment complex then it doesnt matter youre gone or not that is your responsibility to be there for the tenants. My uncle is an attorney at law and has informed me of all my rights. He is where I get my resources. I have contacted the better business bureau and Henley properties/owner of Tel-Star apartments. Its like we are now being harassed by the apartment management. Theyve taken pictures/videos of us without our knowledge and I actually have a court order that no one is supposed to take any pictures of me without consent. So I notified the Dallas courthouse and they said there is something that can be done about this. We received our last violation at 11pm last night by security on the violation it says in Louris handwriting that she spoke to Haley but she never spoke to Haley about any of this. She also wrote on there that we have excessive children here and my girlfriend needs to stop babysitting but that is her side job and how she makes money so I called the city about this issue as well and was told that we dont have enough kids over here for Louri to tell us we have excessive kids over here. Mind you, you cant get into any trouble when the majority of these kids are related to us and the city of Dallas said if they are related to yall then there is nothing anyone can do. So I have made 3 copies of all my violations even the one that should have been removed but never was. Also the man that came out from the city of Dallas was just here and took pictures of everything in our apartment that was considered a hazard and said he doesnt understand how they even pass inspection with everything thats hazardous here. I have called the police and had them come out due to our neighbors starting drama/fights with us so there are police reports also that I have documented. I will take all steps necessary before I am harassed again.more ...hide ...
If I could give them ZERO stars I would.Ive lived here since June 2016.The new manager told me in January 2017 that the old manager never approved my application and I dont have a lease on file. She told me to just keep paying rent. I have been up to date on rent.However, they are constantly turning the air conditioning off and water. She just turned the air conditioning off again today after I called her and complained because she told an apartment I applied for that I was not done with my lease. She told me in January I didnt have a lease so shes sabotaging me and forcing me to stay here basically as no apartment will accept based on her answers. Ive called her all week leaving voice mails. She has not once responded. I keep asking for a copy of this lease I supposedly have now and she never responds.I went to the office today after getting out of the hospital and of course, as usual, shes never in the office. Ive tried catching her in the morning, during lunch, and the afternoon. She is NEVER in the office. And never calls me back.She is unprofessional and ripping people off making us pay rent and living with no ac when she feels like turning it off to pocket money.The last time she had the air conditioning off for a week. My 3 year old was vomiting from heat exhaustion. I put him the shower to cool off 4 to 5 times day. No one should live like this when they pay rent. I even took pictures of a lady and her infant sitting in front of their doorway with the baby crying from being so hot.I made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and she never responded to that either.I just want out from here and shes basically keeping me here because no apartment will accept me based off what shes says.This manager is corrupt and highly unprofessional.Get rid of her!more ...hide ...
