My father in law was set to move in to one of their properties - Meadows Place Senior Village. He passed away one month before scheduled to move in and they refuse to return our deposit. He passed away one month before scheduled to move in and they refuse to return our deposit. We paid $300 even though the application he signed says $150 for the apartment he had reserved. It€™s frustrating to me because the day after he died, I called to give notice to allow them more time to find a tenant. I have emailed, called and reported this to the state without ANY response from the property manager or the management company (Avan Property management). They refuse to share the policy with me regarding this scenario. At this point I don€™t care about the money being returned. It€™s truly sad to have so many facilities and ZERO care for your future tenants or any sympathy for what our family is going through. Instead of having a streamlined process, you have caused more frustration than needed.more ...hide ...
