However, management does not enforce these regulations. The Welcome Kit also states that tenants should respect the privacy of their neighbors with regard to loud TV, stereos, radios, and parties. But this is only on paper; the reality is quite different. It is impossible to take a nap during the day when one is tired or ill, or to study online with headphones on when a child is jumping above in their apartment and making the ceiling vibrate. In addition, a neighbor can be playing loud music all day long, with booming sound penetrating through. Furthermore, some people rent an apartment but think of it as a house, and invite a large number of guests who parade in front of other neighbor's doors, speaking loudly day and night (the walls in the hallways create an echo effect).
