Water was gushing out of the bathroom vent like a waterfall, and my girlfriend and kids were running around the apartment trying to save the clothes we had just washed from getting ruined. The water was going everywhere and I thought it was a bad dream. What made it even worse was that black mold was forming, and I had proof of it. This all happened eight days ago, and if I could I would condemn the entire complex. The mold is all over, even likely behind the walls, and the ceilings are soggy and fragile. I usually don't complain about where I live, but this is an obvious health hazard. My pregnant girlfriend, one-year-old, and my weak immune system all make this a very dangerous place, and there are other children in here too! I've reported several issues to the office, such as loud neighbors, but nothing has been done. In conclusion, I definitely do NOT recommend this place. You would be better off living in a cave. In just one night, the mold had grown significantly, as evidenced in the picture I took.more ...hide ...

This is an income-tied, affordable housing facility, We are inhabitants of Huckleberry Court and have been residing here for some time. It's one of the most pleasant apartment (townhouse) complexes we've ever inhabited. This is an income-tied, affordable housing facility, thus your rent and utilities are regulated according to your income. Every apartment is allocated 2 parking spots, but additional parking is available. The director, supervisor, and maintenance personnel were all kind, attentive, and polite; nevertheless, it takes a while for things to be fixed. The repairmen are not only present in Huckleberry Court, but also across all the complexes owned by the company, thus it is quite challenging for them to get to everyone promptly. You must submit your request right away and follow up to make sure it is not overlooked. The organization needs to supplant some appliances that have worn out, but they repress it as much as they can due to the cost. We were disappointed when they took away the children's play area, but (having resided in other apartments before) understand that if fixtures become hazardous to use, they have to be disposed of so as to avoid harm. Part of the issue is inconsiderate people who are rough on their dwellings, do not clean up after their dogs on the common grassy area, etc. which makes it difficult for everyone else. If you want to live in a decent place - take care of it, like it is your own. If you are disabled and need assistance in yourmore ...hide ...
