Nobody seems to know who is leading the company and when they do communicate, the information provided is often incorrect. For example, the dishwasher had been down for two months, phone calls to the management company went unanswered for a week, and the voicemail was full because the previous manager had left. Additionally, new locks were meant to be installed for safety reasons but never were and maintenance personnel entered the apartment without knocking or prior notification. When this was brought up to the manager, he said he would speak to them. Even after nine months, the tub needed resurfacing after being replaced in February had not been fixed. Photos were even taken of it by the new maintenance man but nothing was done. Furthermore, they lost the maintenance key before December and totally disregarded another request in January, then lied about contacting the person. Two weeks ago, the person spoke to someone at the property management company, though it was against their better judgement, and have not heard from them since. There is yet another new property manager. As a result of these issues, the tub was resurfaced but the company is not worth dealing with.more ...hide ...

This has been the worst living experience of my life. It was infested with roaches and the management was completely negligent. They tried to get me to resign by holding me accountable for rent even after my lease ended. In addition, their website advertised renovated units, but that was only for the kitchen and partial bathroom; the rest of it was outdated and unsanitary. My windows didn't even open! I have yet to get a response to my maintenance requests. The apartment complex across the street is much better, so please avoid this place and save yourself time and money. I had a 15-month lease here and am still in the process of disputing it, even though it ended in February. Overall, terrible living conditions for the expensive rent they charge.more ...hide ...
I personally feel the rent is too high for the quality of the place service personnel and amenities there are none My mistake for being in a hurry and not taking a closer look before signing but you can almost certainly do better for your money and pI personally feel the rent is too high for the quality of the place service personnel and amenities there are none My mistake for being in a hurry and not taking a closer look before signing but you can almost certainly do better for your money and possibly with property owners that seem to at least pretend they care about your satisfactionnnUnitnThe kitchen bathroom are lightly redone with new solid surface countertops and tile flooring The unit has hardwood otherwise with the exception of the bedroom which is carpet The carpet was not particularly clean when we moved in and neither was the unit in general There was tons of dust leftover from the renovations including enough in the tub that it wouldnt drain when it was first used The units themselves seem to be pretty decent overall if you can overlook the almost laughable quality of the work thats been done Its clear they werent trying too hard and wanted to save as much money as possible I dont know about the other units but the windows of my apartment leak a ton of air which is especially noticeable in the colder monthsnnThe BuildingnIts a good looking old building from the outside and inside they seem to be making progress on updating the building Unfortunately there are some issues for example I moved in Summer 2015 and there was a managers office on site where I was told packages would be received for residents and someone would be there to speak to Imagine my surprise when they began renovating that space and making it an apartment Not having a manager in the building is no big deal for me but the ability to receive packages was lost at that point This wouldnt have been a major issue if the callbox worked at least then I could buzz delivery persons in so they could safely leave package for me inside the building Unfortunately even after more than 6 months no effort has been made to fix it This means that about 75 of the time is receive a UPS or FedEx package I have to go and pick it up because they cant get into the buildingnnI have also been complaining about a water leak that is causing damage on the first floor management has closed the case multiple times but every time it rains the carpet is soaked to the point of wetting my leather shoesnnThe other residents seem pretty great overall Theres the occasional dog barking and I think the people above me might have a bowling alley some nights but overall its pretty quietnnLocationnThe location in the corner of 6th and Yesler is just okay its convenient for freeway access and you can easily get on public transit going anywhere Its just far enough out of Pioneer Square to avoid the unfortunate homeless population that hangs around at night There is a decent amount of free or low cost street parking around however I would advise against leaving your vehicle out overnight Its almost unbelievable how many cars Im seeing with broken passenger side windows in the area Parking in the nearby garage runs about 200month as of Jan 2016nnFYI plan on hearing emergency vehicles often due to a fire station being a block away also helicopters landing at the nearby hospital plus screaming crowds and fireworks during sporting events These things really didnt bother me at all but you should be aware of themnnStaffnIve had no less than 3 different contacts in just over 6 months meaning its not always clear who to call for an issue They clearly have an issue with employee retention or something that seems like too many building managers for such a short period Ive created trouble tickets through the system online for things requiring repair in the building and they seem to magically get closed out without being fixed or even having a staff member contact memore ...hide ...

I think that the building has had its share of problems and the management has addressed them. I feel comfortable here now and I feel the owners are genuinely concerned. Its up to me, the tenant, to be in a nice place. And I feel the management is on the right track. We will make this building a great place to live. Any problem starts with me and not my neighbors. That itself is a problem when you see something you dont approve of and make it bad without doing anything about that:)more ...hide ...
