I may have lost count but I believe they are on their 8th Executive Director. It is a revolving door of employees and a constant loss of benefits that they sell you to get your money in their pockets. Being a business owner, it tells me that things are not running so smooth somewhere in their organization. Today I had our annual health checkup meeting with Teri the Head Nurse and Nicole the Social Services Director. Spent the morning at the Dr. office with my parent and needed Teri to perform a Urine test as I brought the Dr. order with me from the clinic. Teri asked if I brought a sample cup with me. I replied, you normally would get this order via a fax, what would you do at that time? I received a rude toned response that as long as I was there I could have brought one. Once again, Heritage not prepared to take care of the elderly and always full of excuses. At the end of the meeting I was expressing that I would like to know when activities would be starting again as for almost 2 years there has been nothing and we have not received any cut in our monthly dues. Nicole told me that if I did not like it at Heritage, I had choices and since we were no longer paying for my parents stay.....At which point I explained that Heritage had all of my parents money from the last 4 years and how the bill is getting paid should be of no concern of hers, and what did that have to do with the level of care you are providing? Just a side note, my parent retirement payments go to the pockets of Heritage, but Medicare ( a service my parent paid for in the 60 some years of working) does kick in the rest of the amount that the retirement payments can not meet. Needless to say after being so rudely talked to I left the room. DO NOT SUBJECT YOUR FAMILY TO THIS TYPE OF TREAMENT, NEVER STAND FOR IT. Moving my parent is our option, but Teri and Nicole will be here today and gone tomorrow leaving me with the next unprofessional and poorly trained person Heritage hires.more ...hide ...
