Hello I am new to the section 8 program I just received my voucher on April 19th 2022 I am a single mom with two children I have a 9yearold daughter and a 4 year old son my voucher it expires June 18th 2022 Ive been approved for three bedroom for the amount of 1556 thats if all utilities are paid if I pay electric then I am approved for 1438 and if I pay gas and electric then Im approved for 1442 my rental rate is 50 a month I currently am not employed I am steadily looking just trying to get my family into a house first before I can find a job officially Elizabeth Torres is the case manager on my housing program information and the programs name is the US department of housing and Urban development Im looking for a single family home for me and my children we have one cat and we have a bunny Im new to this whole experience of working with section 8 Ive never had section 8 before the house that we were in prior to us getting approved for section 8 was a travel trailer for the last 5 years thats where weve lived in my travel trailer that I had purchased 5 years ago and it had been on my fathers property at first and then we moved from there to this property down the street from my dads house and from there we went to another property in the South valley and the last place that my house was at was on my exboyfriends friends property which no longer is on that property and my house is currently back at my dads house on his property but were not living in my travel trailer anymore we are currently in a motel room that is set up for emergency housing assistance and this program actually ends on April 30th of 2022 so Im trying to find my kids and I a place as soon as possible because once this program ends and if we have not found a place to live then we really dont have anywhere else to go so Im hoping that somebody would be willing to work with me and my children so we dont have to be on the streets thank you
