The manager and her maintenance guy are amazing and quick to address any issues that arise big or small. Rent is high, but its Seattle so actually its reasonable. These are older townhouses, but they are clean an d homey. The upstairs is prone to mold, especially the window sills, so I had to buy a large dehumidifier to combat that despite using the fan when showering and cooking. No air conditioning so the upstairs is consistently warm, but in Summer is rather sit in direct sunlight than be upstairs. Parking is usually great. Garbages and recycle get pretty full, but once overflowing its garbage day, so its okay. Its close to all the essentials, recommend for students. This place is super dog and kid friendly, just remember to keep dogs on leashes and to clean up after them. The biggest issue with living here is the park bathrooms at night (drug deals and users), but Burke Gilman Place Apartments cant do anything about it as it is a public park. more ... hide ...

I was excited to apply here as everything seemed great and responsibly priced. However, I was baffled by the complete lack of communication. It took me one full week of endless emails and phone calls ignored to get prosp ect code just to apply. I had to have a friend with a local number call to get any response. After the I finished the application, I heard nothing back for a full week of ignored emails and calls (again). When I finally got in contact with someone they claimed they did not have all of the forms I filled out the week before. I understand that things get lost and that people are busy in this pandemic. However after I refilled all my paperwork they still have not gotten back to me after a week of having a recompleted application. I have emailed and called them endless amounts of times and had my friend with the local number try again only for them to be ignored too. I was lucky enough to find a different apartment in less than 2 weeks. Be mindful if you apply here as it seems like they need at least a full month of constant calls and emails to get any progress. If you manage to get their leasing office to do anything for you in a timely manner good for you. This location seems nice the only problem I have is their lack of timely communication. more ... hide ...

These apartments are run by a wicked person. Danna polk. She has tried mutiple times to kick my disabled mother out for reasons that make no sence. My mom has a emotional support dog and danna has sent over 6 10 day noti ces becuase she says she has heard the dog barking continuously, when he does not she also has said that my mother has two dogs that bark and she only has one. Ms polk descimanats against disabled people and people on section 8 these are low income apartments and my mom pays 825 and was late once after 6 years of always being on time and danna has charged her 90 in late fees and 30 more dollars for having to get up and deliever a notice to our door. She contistintly is harrassing the tenants about the vistors that they have you can not have a vistor over not only becuase all the vistor parking is contintly taken up by residents of the apartments but becuase you need permission from her to have company and they are not allowed to have dogs or animales and kids are not allowed to be kids can not have anything with wheels cant have balls can not scream yell or play loud and have to only play on the small play ground and can not be out there past a certain time. Danna has now threated my mother that she will be kicked out in august. And danna personally had my mothers car towed becuase she was parked in our neighbors spot who had known we had parked there for two hours. I do not recommended these apartments until there is a new manager. This women is a reckless emotional reck who has descrimanated against the low income people she needs to be replaced becuase nobody in these apartments like her becuase of the things shes done and continues to do. more ... hide ...
