TL;DR: Overall I would give it 3.5 stars out of 5. If this was a year ago I wouldve given it 2 stars, but things have gotten better over time. A lot of the problems are due to the surrounding areas being a little bit rou gh for the price. Tip - if you want to park safely, park along 24th Ave S, Harris Pl S, or S Forest St.*********************************************************I was one of the first residents here, and moved out after two years and two months. As a new building there have been lots of ups and downs, but in general after two years things have somewhat stabilized. Heres an overall list of pros and cons:Pros:* Never had an issue with maintenance. They always came in within a day or two, and were in and out quick.* I have seen some reviews of unfair charges upon move-out, and I was actually mentally bracing for some unfair charges, but I only got a cleaning charge of $150 taken out, which was expected as I only did a little bit of sweeping.* QFC, Link light rail, and bus stations being next door is incredibly convenient.Cons:* Surrounding area feels a bit unsafe. There are multiple homeless camps immediately south of the building across from S McClellan St. Parking along 25th Ave S always adds a significant risk of your windows getting smashed into, I dont know how many smashed car windows Ive counted over my 2 years. The homeless population sticks to themselves for the most part, but it does spill over when they head towards Wendys/QFC and hover about. There have also been reports of unauthorized entry into the building, but Im not sure if thats by the homeless population or other unrelated people. QFC being on Rainier Ave S means it can also attract some unpleasant people hanging outside of QFC, but QFC has hired security to guard the entrance, so it has become better.* If you live in the north building packages can end up all over the place. 70% of the time it ends up in the south building package room, 20% in the north building package room, and 10% somewhere on the floor in the north building, presumably because the delivery person couldnt find the package room or wasnt bothered.* Some of the residents are not well-behaved. Weed smell has been a problem, and has persisted as management has been unable to trace the offenders. more ... hide ...
