As a taxpayer residing in Bellwood, I contacted to ask about my car being towed from a public street with no clear signs or warning. Her response was, "I have been letting it slide," referring to me parking in the same place for the past TWO YEARS! I am uncertain who thought she was appropriate for this position, but I am sure this will not be the last of the unfavorable reviews due to her bad communication skills. This could have been taken care of differently; maintaining a good community relationship should be essential. I will be informing the mayor of this issue and they will be hearing from my lawyer. It is depressing to see businesses bring down an entire area for apparently no cause at all! As a small business proprietor who has faced a lot of difficulty this year, the least I anticipate is respect. I do not know how tenants are treated in these apartments, but from my brief encounter I can tell that there is unprofessionalism, childish behavior, and retaliatory hostility involved.
