My mothers application was denied and the reason they gave us was baseless We went to speak with the manager Vivian about it to ask the exact reason and to see who could be able to revise the application once again but it turned out to be one of the My mothers application was denied and the reason they gave us was baseless We went to speak with the manager Vivian about it to ask the exact reason and to see who could be able to revise the application once again but it turned out to be one of the worst experiences of my life I was talking to the lady at the front office about the denial then Vivian the leasing manager came out of her office screaming at me and my mom a 70 year old lady She gave us the same baseless reason I confronted her about it Then Vivian yelled at me She was super rude and kicked me and my mom out of the office and told me not to come back to her office again This lady is extremely unprofessional rude and She should not be working in a facility for seniors in the customer service area We reached corporate today and we are waiting on their response We will be contacting the Texas Housing authority to escalate this complaint more ... hide ...

My mom lived in an Old Apartment Complex in Converse for over 20 years They never repaired anything painted or even changed out the carpet There was roaches everywhere and the mold was in every wall I finally convinced my mom that it was time for her My mom lived in an Old Apartment Complex in Converse for over 20 years They never repaired anything painted or even changed out the carpet There was roaches everywhere and the mold was in every wall I finally convinced my mom that it was time for her to move I checked around for places for Seniors on fixed incomes with no assets There are several around but the one thing that made Merritt Lakeside stand above the others was the level of activities the staff provides for the residentsnnI placed her on the waiting list and i had little hope to be able to get her in anytime soon due to the long waiting list Within 2 years I was called and asked if we were still interested I said that we were I brought mom to the complex to see the many things that they had to offer We submitted all the paperwork and were accepted She officially moved in on April 1 2020 during the pandemic Many activities were canceled and mom didnt like being on the 3rd floor since she uses a walker There are elevators all through the complex so going between floors is no problem Once she was moved in and she got used to the layout of the buildings she loved the complex It was just hard for her to leave a place after 20 years even if it was a terrible placennThe first time she submitted a request for maintenance she was surprised that they took care of the request that same day She loves going to Bingo on Wednesday and once more activities open up she will have a busy social lifennWe just renewed moms lease and the office staff were very nice and took the time to make her comfortable signing all the paperwork The Manager Vivian Alvarado came out and visited with us as mom signed the lease This community takes care of their residents My mom signed up and received her Flu Shot and the Johnson and Johnson Vaccine all at the apartment communitynnIf you are looking for a great place to call home for yourself or for a parent then give Merritt Lakeside Senior Village a try The opportunities are endless at this Apartment Community more ... hide ...
