I have lived at Castlewood Apartments for a year, and in that time I have found it to be a great place to live. The landlord is open and friendly, and the apartment complex is well-maintained and quiet. The apartments at Castlewood are similar to a phone company in that they come with hidden fees. To be specific, I, a nonsmoker, had to pay a $25.00 fee due to cigarette butts found under my balcony. Initially, when I moved here, things were fine, but as time passed, the situation deteriorated. I have been wanting the manager to come fix the air conditioner in the second room for nearly seven months, yet nobody has come to do so. Furthermore, the ice maker in the refrigerator has never functioned, but no one has come to repair it. All in all, this place is not worth the cost, Park Place appears to be the more suitable choice. For that reason, I am not renewing my agreement due to the issues I have experienced here. The manager typically just leaves a piece of paper on the door when there is an issue. The only redeeming aspect of this place is the pool, when it is clean and open. Security is also rather tight around the complex, and they do spray for bugs. more ... hide ...
