I am uncertain as to why the staff at the leasing office seem to be so reluctant; they appear to be very disinclined to address queries or pass on messages. One day, I visited the leasing office and encountered Xiomara, who was frankly quite hostile and unhelpful. When I declined to leave and demanded to speak to someone else, she said she can take my details and someone will call me back. She jotted down my information on a sticky note and before I even got out of the office, she discarded it! This place used to be so diverse, with all kinds of people from different races and ethnicities knowing each other. I am perplexed as to where they are advertising because this community is now filled with an abundance of uncouth Hispanics. The roads are packed with loud Hondas at all times of the day and the parking lot has become a garage. People are congregating at the entrance, making it difficult to get through, and fireworks are being set off almost every night after 10 PM. This place was once so clean and serene, but it is deteriorating and is slowly resembling Langley Park 2.0.more ...hide ...

It's a small facility with only 32 residents and is a short ride away from where I live. We had multiple interviews with Ms. Elizabeth Orchard, a tour of the property and a chance for our mom to visit and be involved in some of the activities before moving in. In January 2020, Mom moved into Malta House, then the pandemic hit in March. During that period, she was kept safe and well taken care of by the personnel of Malta House. The staff kept us informed of the CDC and State regulations as they changed and provided us with limited access to our mother, so she was not feeling detached from us and we were not feeling disconnected from her. The staff are competent, loving and considerate. Activities for the occupants are restricted due to the pandemic, but I wish that will change soon. The rooms and communal areas are in good condition. Mom likes the food served in one of the two dining rooms. I would recommend Malta House to anyone looking for a small facility to care for their beloved.more ...hide ...
