It is important to ask if there is adequate lighting in the apartment, as it was very upsetting for me to have no lights in my room, only a fan. If you are looking at the lofts, you should be aware that it can get very hot upstairs. The bathtubs are painted, so expect some chipping. The sliding glass doors are practically useless, as the screen cannot be used. Parking is really poor, so there have been times where I have had to walk three buildings away from my apartment with my seven-month-old baby. After a year and two months of living here, I found out that washer and dryers are included in new leases, so make sure you ask and inspect the apartment before you commit to living there. Although not all of the apartments are like this, it is still very frustrating to live in a place that you call home but isn't what you expected.
