I put in an application with the $16 fee a month ago and was informed that I did qualify for a 2 bedroom. Unfortunately, because of an eviction, that unit had already been taken and I was put on the waiting list. I was so excited. I stopped by recently to check my status and the manager couldn't even find my application. After searching around, she eventually remembered she had sent it over to Mulberry Apts. I told her I didn't want to live at Mulberry, I wanted to live at Broadstreet. She said I could request a downstairs apartment, and called Mulberry but the line was busy. She then recalled that the manager was on a conference call and she would get back to me, as she had to leave for lunch in twenty minutes. Astonishingly, she had applications from 2017 that were ahead of me. Needless to say, she called back around 3 and said Mulberry's phone was still busy and she couldn't try again because someone was coming in to sign a lease. I am utterly disheartened by this turn of events. If I wanted to live at Mulberry, I would have put my application in there and paid the fee to them. Best of luck to anyone trying to get an apartment at Broadstreet.more ...hide ...

But maintenance is horrible and grounds not kept up. I lived there for 10 years and the first 5 years were wonderful but when Windush was sold it went down hill fast. No more after school activities and tutoring, no maintenance to the buildings and sidewalks, no pest control, no painting, trash overflowing everyday, children running in the streets, lights out for months in several buildings which was a safety hazard. So much more but it saddens me to talk about. Hopefully the new owners will restore Windrush back to the beautiful apartment homes they use to be.more ...hide ...
