I suffer from asthma and had a problem where nearby neighbors were smoking, making the air difficult for me to breathe. When I brought this issue up to Jory and Pamela in the office, they paid attention and searched around until they found someone who could come inspect my apartment and reduce the smoke exposure. Additionally, Jory and Pamela spoke directly with my neighbors, resolving the matter permanently. The complex is getting better bit by bit; while it may be an older building with thin walls, the office is always striving to improve things overall. It's worth considering! However if you do have asthma or any respiratory difficulties it would be advisable to look into a place that has stricter smoking policies or speak with staff about being placed away from cigarette-using tenants since walls won't stop secondhand smoke from seeping through. more ... hide ...

I would never recommend this complex to anyone From day 1 I honestly felt like I was being scammed by the building management There were so many issues that I wont list them all but here are the major ones that I had experienced I had to clean the ap I would never recommend this complex to anyone From day 1 I honestly felt like I was being scammed by the building management There were so many issues that I wont list them all but here are the major ones that I had experienced I had to clean the apartment because no one had previously done so including half eaten food on the floor and stains on the carpet The management hassled me about my dog who is friendly and went through their screening process I had to reach out to lawyers who reviewed my lease and confirmed what they were doing was in fact illegal Other renters at the property told me they were experiencing the same kind of threats and harassment from the managers I had an issue with my AC unit and I mentioned it did not appear clean when I moved in however they assured me it was There was a weird smell and I had been feeling sick so I decided to check and the entire inside of the AC unit was covered in black mold I had only been at the unit for 23 months I am still having issues with my lungs and breathing because of this The apartment was never cleaned and the floor was severely damaged when I moved in The management staff appeared to be nice at first but whenever there were issues they would not respond to emails and were aggressiverude on the phone The stairs are rusting through and there are visible holes in the brick of the building that they try to cover with rocks There have been dead rats found in the dog run My windows were never cleaned and I had a large spider nest just outside my window and door I woke up to hearing gunshots 34 times a month They have a new maintenance employee who is trying their best to improve what they can but overall its a dirty and poorly managed property I truly hope they make appropriate changes to make this a better place to live for future residents because this was the worst renting experience I have ever had more ... hide ...

Madison flats is a very nice place to live The staff is very helpful and attends to every need i have They help me every week faxing my work papers
