Initially, we were informed that two flats would be available in April. We came in, went on a tour, and discussed everything with Johleen, then expressed our desire for the apartments. We were told that they would be posted the following day or so, so we could fill out the application process and learn the availability. However, when we tried to access it, it was already gone. A few weeks later, I contacted them again to check if anything had opened up and a friendly employee told me that a two-bedroom would be available at the start or end of March due to special circumstances. I let her know of our interest and she said that the information would be passed on to Joleen and that it should not be a problem. I never heard back and when I called in early February, Joleen answered and appeared taken aback that I was aware of the flat. She said that it had already been filled. When I mentioned the prior conversation, she refused to offer details and was very rude. If you need somewhere to stay, don't rely on getting an apartment from them since they have their own hidden list of applicants. I'm very disappointed in this incident. It isn't a terrible place to stay, but if you have the means, it would be worth renting a house or a different complex. If you are in the military and receive BAH, the proximity to the War College is unbeatable. While it isn't too far off, there are similar apartments that cost a few hundred dollars less. Some of the same complexes in town offer better services for the same price, such as a pool, grills, a tiny "dog park," a mini gym, and an office. The Pros: -Pet Friendly with doggy doo disposal bins on the premises -Relatively quiet -Maintenance is typically rapid -The pool, grills, etc. are a plus when they're open and functional The Cons: -Expensive -Insufficient garages for all tenants and a lengthy waitlist -Only three dumpsters for five buildings -The dog park is so small it is essentially unusable -The heating and cooling system is not very efficient, resulting in costly gas bills. more ... hide ...
