Now, each day someone moves out and new apartments are always available. This is due to management's decision of raising the rent enormously—$167, $125 and $179 (not even in the more expensive Pond View but its cheaper counterpart, Westbrook). It's almost like price gouging. Other complexes have done so too which leads Westbrook following suit; thus causing tenants' lack of respect for management. Two households have recently acquired dogs even though it's a cats-only building! They either let them go or let them pee on the stairs outside, making parking—especially for those with trucks or full-sized family sedans—a difficult task. Garbage also presents an odd situation as one must drive over to a central compactor that isn't always working; thus leading people to just leave their stuff lying around instead of asking someone else for help in lifting it up as they can't do it themselves either. Further emails from management arrive about violations of rules which might be stemming from these excessive rent raises leading tenants not caring anymore as they're too busy dealing with second jobs just to pay off the rent fees.
