The day before, on April 22nd, when I had signed my lease, I was assured that my apartment would be ready the following morning, which was clearly not the case. I had no choice but to leave my possessions there while the renovations continued, and as a result, both of my TVs, my shoes, my clothing, my son's shoes, and my backpack with all of its contents were stolen by the maintenance man, who failed to secure the apartment before leaving. I was warned by two different tenants not to move in, and the police informed me that they are regularly called to the premises.
