To our surprise, the very next day we were told it was an error. When I asked how this could be, the only response was that the employee hadn't been at their computer to double check. This was an issue because I'd already informed my current landlord I was leaving. I've tried reaching out to the corporate office of Altman, located in Fort Lauderdale, but they never answer. My advice is that if you can pay 40K in rent, you should go somewhere else. Additionally, if someone from Altman is reading this, maybe they should be as stringent in their hiring process as they are with their residents. I have a one-year-old child and now I might have to stay in a hotel for a month due to an employee not realizing the consequences of their actions. more ... hide ...
