I have been living in what I consider to be the worst apartment complex since 2016, and in 2019 was told I couldn't renew my lease. When trying to get answers from management, I was informed that the system wouldn't allow for a renewal and that I had I have been living in what I consider to be the worst apartment complex since 2016, and in 2019 was told I couldn't renew my lease. When trying to get answers from management, I was informed that the system wouldn't allow for a renewal and that I had to leave by May. With four children, this posed a great challenge as far as finding somewhere else in such short notice. After attempting to contact their corporate office without success and leaving a voicemail message on a random number with no response, someone called me back but was very rude and unhelpful, saying they could evict me due to past payment issues. This conversation left me feeling belittled so I hung up. If you're contemplating renting at this complex just know it's not ideal - there has been dog poop in my backyard since moving here which management doesn't seem to care about while simultaneously wanting tenants who pay rent on time out; the only one who looks after us is the maintenance man. more ... hide ...

I use to live here and I just want to say that Katrina has always been sweet in the office and over the phone Mr Grant is the MAN He genuinely cares for everyone and is always hard working I appreciate all he do His heart is filled with gold

	LAKEWOOD APARTMENTS (4/5) (540) 720 - 0544 100 WATERSIDE TER, STAFFORD , VA 22554 Housing types: Low Income Apartments buildings / Section 8 vouchers accepted American Traditionalist III (3.5/5) Living here was great at first. It was quiet, decent neighbors and there are two separate playgrounds to take your children to with lots of walking or running opportunity. Property management WAS nice. Property management WAS nice. But now we have new manager who is flat out rude and communicates in a condescending manner when addressing residents with concerns or complaint . But, only after you move in. There are copious amounts of dog feces found throughout the property which adds for a great scent during the peak of summer and concerns/complaints are only addressed when the issue is a liability to the property. The walls and flooring are super thin and yes you can hear your neighbors conversations and so forth. Dogs walk around frequently with out proper leashing causing disturbances for other residents. Lakewood property staff is a dictatorship. Unless no other choice, secure a mortgage. spending 1400 plus a month is better suited for home owning where you have the ultimate say. more ... hide ... This location is much better than the place I was previously staying. The apartments are almost brand new and extremely updated, especially for the area. It seems to be a very safe area given that there are always children outside at play. The area is convenient, close enough to 610 and Quantico but relatively secluded. The gym is a convenient and nice place to work out. Every apartment has a patio which is small but nice for sitting outside. My only complaint is that they have trash compactors instead of dumpsters and many of the residents are inconsiderate, just throwing their trash next to the compactor instead of inside. This is not the fault of the housing office as much as some of the residents. As for the staff, maintenance is very friendly and helpful, and in the office, Anna always has a smile on her face and is willing to help with anything you need. more ... hide ...
