My husband and I moved here expecting a safe environment, and when we asked the manager and assistant manager about the crime rate around the area, they falsely claimed that the neighbourhood is secure since there's a retirement home nearby. That was a complete fabrication. Not long after, someone tried to steal the tyres of our truck, however, the locking lug nuts prevented them from succeeding. A couple of nights after that, the car parked next to ours was broken into, and the same happened to the people living next to them. We asked three other tenants about any issues they had, and all of them had experienced incidents, ranging from theft to car break-ins. None of our cars or truck has been broken into, and we never leave anything in them. We wanted to move out and pay the fee to terminate our lease, but the landlord refused. I have no idea what narcotic she has been using lately, but I am interested to see what her new story is. Moreover, it is even worse that she has brainwashed my wife into believing that everything would be fine and has caused my wife to take a stand against me. It is clear that I am not the perfect man, however, this is unacceptable. Unfortunately, my only options are to either move out at the end of the lease or suffer the consequences of either spending time in prison or paying a hefty sum.
