It has been a special time with them, visiting many places, taking part in significant events and watching my three grandchildren grow up right before me. Unfortunately, my granddaughter needed her own privacy so I started looking for a house of my own. During cardiac rehab following bypass surgery I met two Filipino seniors - Beth & Susan - who told me about the coop they had found. After viewing it and being accepted as a member, I signed the contract on September 4th 2019. Here at Hazel Park Manor Coop all seniors are treated with respect and importance, giving us reason to believe that life is still worth living despite any illnesses we may have. Decisions are made through consultation between all members so there's nothing to complain about here! On top of what the government provides us with there is an abundance of resources available here too! As someone who lives alone this is more than just a benefit or privilege; it's something to be proud of and grateful for. We may have been forgotten but God has never neglected us; this place truly feels like a piece of heaven on earth and I am so blessed!more ...hide ...
Do not move here! You will feel like you're in prison if you do. The living conditions are dreadful and maintenance never cleans, vacuums or sanitizes. The liaison is never around and when she is, she changes all the rules to suit her own desires. WhDo not move here! You will feel like you're in prison if you do. The living conditions are dreadful and maintenance never cleans, vacuums or sanitizes. The liaison is never around and when she is, she changes all the rules to suit her own desires. When trying to contact CSI, no one responds. People who have been here a while are moving out due to how bad it is. It used to be nice but not anymore. The building is falling apart and nothing is ever fixed. The washers and dryers are unreliable and the iron in front hasn't been fixed. As they renovate their other buildings, nothing is done here. Despite it being advertised as safe, many people who don't belong here have key fobs and can be found sleeping on the couches or in the stairwells. To sum it up, if you want to feel like you're in jail, move here.more ...hide ...
