During cardiac rehab following bypass surgery I met two Filipino seniors - Beth & Susan - who told me about the coop they had found. After viewing it and being accepted as a member, I signed the contract on September 4th 2019. Here at Hazel Park Manor Coop all seniors are treated with respect and importance, giving us reason to believe that life is still worth living despite any illnesses we may have. Decisions are made through consultation between all members so there's nothing to complain about here! On top of what the government provides us with there is an abundance of resources available here too! As someone who lives alone this is more than just a benefit or privilege; it's something to be proud of and grateful for.
