Recently, her air conditioner stopped working and requires replacement. It has been a week and she still has no air conditioning, which is especially difficult during summer. She is 73 and has an enlarged heart, COPD, emphysema, and other health problems. She has asked when they will get the unit in to replace the AC, but she doesn't want anyone entering her apartment without her present. They provided her with a portable AC, but it doesn't have a hose to expel the hot air, so it only pushes it around the apartment, which is not helpful. When she calls, she only gets voicemails and no calls back. Although these apartments are meant for disabled and elderly people, they are not getting their needs attended to promptly. I understand that it takes time for things to arrive, but it would be nice to know when she will have her AC fixed. more ... hide ...
