Desiring an apartment right away, I stored the number and waited. Nothing happened. After four months of waiting, paying for the application fee, and putting down a holding deposit (which was supposed to elevate me to the top of the "list" for an apartment), I had not heard of anything. I coincidentally work closely with families of students at Embry Riddle and found out from many parents that these apartments are connected to the school. No wonder why I had been waiting, they want to prioritize students! My $100 holding fee was refunded quickly, yet the negative impact on my credit score is there for two years and there is nothing I can do about it.
