My favorite thing about living there is the community of residents; many of them are close and look out for each other. Before Covid, we had a Common Room for hosting parties and gatherings, a TV room with a mini kitchen, a fitness room, and a path with benches that circles the building. Our Service Coordinator, Kim Schultz, works hard to keep us entertained during Covid. The landscape in front and behind the building is also lovely, with grass and trees. The apartments are typically clean and maintenance-free, and repairs are done promptly. Management is very thorough, although there are times when it feels like it is overworked. I gave it four stars for a couple reasons. The building is secure with locked doors, but some residents disregard the lease rules and let people in who don't belong. The second star I deducted is because when I moved in back in 2015, the former manager said Winton House would be getting cameras soon, but it still hasn't happened. Also, there are 103 units and only one maintenance man, so I think he could use a helper. Despite the four-star rating, I plan to stay here as it is my home.more ...hide ...

Recently, my apartment was broken into, which I caught on my camera in my apartment (this place is too cheap to install security cameras, even after two different managers had to have a security guard with them due to threats). There was only one intruder, but there had to be someone on lookout. When the police knocked on the suspect's door, the resident took his sweet time to open it. When he did, the thief jumped out of the window (on the second floor). The police were unable to apprehend him, and neither of them were punished. I was, however, written up for not putting an empty, broken down pizza box in a garbage bag, yet the resident was complicit in a robbery and received no punishment. Note: If you get three infractions here, you are evicted. This place is also severely infested with bedbugs, and the pest control is an idiot. The management often tries to bully and threaten the residents. Maintenance jobs take forever, too; it took them eight months to get me a new toilet. I only gave them one star because they manage to pay the bills and do the paperwork. Do not move in here, and please pass this on.more ...hide ...
I have lived here and there has been multiple killings, break ins, and fights. The landlord refused to do anything about it, I would highly recommend seeking other opportunities. Again I was a tenant.
