If someone wants to take a walk or take their pet out, they can feel secure in doing so. In the past, shady drug users and perverts would often be seen outside, but the current ownership and management have done a terrific job of making sure that this type of behavior is not tolerated. I would have no qualms recommending these apartments as a safe place to stay to my friends and family. I also want to give a shout-out to the maintenance staff and grounds crew for continuing to do a great job and ensuring that the property does not look unkempt and all the units are in good condition. more ... hide ...

I have lived in this apartment complex for four years, and I am moving out this weekend. I am really looking forward to it! Two weeks ago, they ripped the toilet out of my main bathroom without any notice. Then I was told that the bathroom floor had to be done before I could get my new toilet. It still hasn't been done. Yesterday, they came in at 4:30 pm and tore up the old floor. I threw a fit and they left, leaving nails all over my floor and outside my door. Tommy King, the main guy in charge of construction, is a moron who does everything backwards. When I told him that I was moving this weekend, he said "you could always move a week early." Technically, I am because I don't have to be out until June 3rd, but that would mean taking time off from work during the week. They have also broken things--for example, my new bathroom door latch--and haven't fixed it yet. Taylors plumbing left my door standing open when they were redoing the shower valves and anyone could have walked in and stolen my new TV or anything else. I resided in this area some years ago and while I did complain about a few matters, they were not always connected to the apartments or the staff. Aside from one or two occasions, I never had a major bug issue, and the staff sorted it out quickly. Dawn was a bit impolite in a few situations, but I could see how she might be irritable if she had to put up with 'entitled' individuals every day. I believe the ban list got a bit too extensive, but I understand its goal. It's astounding to me how many people remain there for so long. There is a queue of people waiting to get into that area and it's unfortunate as many of them could get jobs and move on like I did, yet they stay to take advantage of the government benefits. The housing program is not set up so that mothers can stay at home; its purpose is to help them become self-sufficient. It really disconcerts me that people live there for many years without working or making a minimal wage, or getting paid off the books, and yet still live there cheaply while many others are homeless and waiting for an apartment to open. more ... hide ...
