My car problems have prevented me from visiting or bringing her to my place, but I'm glad she is safe and secure there. We enjoy going out to eat in downtown San Antonio, and there are also dentists, doctors, and optometrists nearby. Her personal attendant is an old friend of hers because of my transportation issues. She isn't ready to give up her autonomy yet and I understand, as I'm getting older too and can't do all my own errands in one day. While this community isn't perfect, it's clean and as close to meeting her needs as possible. For a small fee, they even provide one meal a day in their community center.
