If an appliance stops working due to regular wear and tear, there are never any funds to replace it, and so the tenant has to be without a working appliance for months, unless a resident dies or moves out. However, if an appliance breaks due to a tenant's fault, they have to pay for a new appliance right away when they pay their rent. Dean, the previous maintenance man, had spare fridges and stoves on-site to be used in case any of the old ones in a unit stopped working.3. During this pandemic, they evicted a tenant for not being at home!
