When I asked for documents to prove my attendance, I got the runaround, with 39 emails back and forth, and they refused to send me any proof. I have been waiting for months, all while living in moldy conditions and recently testing positive for mold poisoning. I provided evidence of the mold analysis before my request was denied and was told it would be noted in the file, but it never was, even after I called. Now, I'm facing eviction and have made complaints to the comptroller and IDHA legal department, but neither has responded back with the evidence. I contacted Governor Pritzker's office and they said they sent my matter to IDHA, but I haven't gotten any confirmation from the legal department that they even received my evidence or complaint. With my continued health decline, my evidence sent to various people, and no replies from multiple departments, I'm hoping to get assistance through the court and report the unprofessional behavior of certain employees in my filings. I'm a disabled citizen, suffering from mental health issues and a suicide survivor, whose disability took two years to approve due to "miscues." I hope to raise awareness of this heartbreaking and disturbing situation where the government can let somebody be sick and not care. Shame on you!more ...hide ...

I cannot wait to move out. There are numerous cons to living here, with the most prominent ones being, first, the laundry room is a nightmare to use. The machines are always broken and the dryers take a lot of time to dry even a small load. One morning my partner noticed smoke coming from one of the washers. This place doesn't give you the impression of being clean. Second, the tenants aren't courteous to their neighbors. The hallways are always in a state of disarray and full of stuff from other people. People and their pets are often being loud and noisy in the corridors. This makes it a terrible atmosphere for students who spend long hours studying or people who work from home. Lastly, the second hand smoke is unbearable. The hallways, stairwells and even my own apartment smell like cigarettes all the time due to people who smoke. The management is inefficient and doesn't take complaints seriously, only issuing "stop smoking" leaflets occasionally when someone reports it. It has gotten to the point that I sometimes feel sick in my own apartment. I advise any incoming medical/law students to avoid this place unless you don't plan on spending much time at home.more ...hide ...
