Pros:Superb location near I-40 exit. Probably the lowest prices for apartments in proximity to Nashville. The apartment I lived in had acceptable carpets, walls, closets, kitchen, etc. (some apartments appeared older and not as nice). Management seemed cordial and professional. Maintenance was always available to repair issues in a week. No problems with the washers and dryers or mail (although the area is usually cluttered). We never had a bug issue (we were on the uppermost floor too). The air conditioning and heating functioned correctly.Cons:Our bathroom was really unsanitary with the tiles deteriorating; it was the only negative part of the apartment. It depends on which edifice you're in, but where we were there were people in the parking lot playing loud music with foul language and quarreling. Some parking places are unusable due to deep holes and mud and puddles, but I never had difficulty finding a nearby spot, and you can drive by to inspect for yourself. I suggest taking a drive and strolling around on a Saturday night to make sure you're comfortable with the amount of people outside. Also, it looks like people are often moving in and out, so your neighbors may change frequently. All in all, it was a good experience, although some people may find it uncomfortable.

I never saw a review that gave me enough information about this place so here goes for the future renters. I am just trying to make sure what happened to my husband and I doesn€™t happen to another family.-Maintenance: During our walk through with the lease manager before we moved in, we noted a few things that needed to be fixed- one of the being the sound the HVAC made which sounded like a wash cycle. The lease manager assured us that it will be taken care of. She said the maintenance man doesn€™t work on the weekends so we can go ahead and get moved in and that when he comes in, it will be fixed. One month in and we were still putting in requests to get it fixed. When the maintenance man finally came and fixed it, he tied the HVAC up- that was the fix. See the attached pictures. We started our lease in June, it took me going to the head office- Brookside Properties- on Dec 24th and saying I am not leaving till I get a solution for the HVAC to be fixed. I also went there with the complaint of our dishwasher which had been storing up dirty smelly water and not working. Again, we had made that complaint several times with no response. The final time we complained, my husband called Tonia and not once during the conversation did she apologize for the inconvenience and lack of response.-Management: I have never experienced such incompetence in my life. The Landlord, Tonia, only cares about collecting your rent and finding more ways to get money out of you with fines. Most complaints always had to be put in at least twice before a €œresolution€ was given. Resolution in quote because they always just did a quick fix that needed another fix in a couple weeks. Twice, she asked my husband and I to report out neighbors to the police over their smoking weed and being noisy when those are things that a landlord should take care of. We signed the lease because the apartment was advertised as €œsmoke-free€ on apartments.com and while filling our application, my husband and I both marked €œno€ to the question €œdo you smoke?€ but when we reported that our neighbors smoking weed/cigarettes was drifting into our apartment, we were told that the apartment doesn€™t have a smoking policy. Our neighbors started retaliating the report by throwing things and making noise starting 6am every morning till the end of the day. We €œofficially€ reported the noise after bearing it for almost 4months (bear in mind that when I went in Dec to report the problem with our dishwasher and HVAC to Brookside properties, I reported that issue). Tonia said she could not stop people from walking the way they wanted to in their house and that if we are not happy, we should terminate our lease and pay the termination fee! I was livid because we are the neighbors who are doing the right thing and simply wanting a peaceful home and you are telling us to terminate our lease and pay when you lied that your apartment was €œsmoke-free€. I threatened to call a lawyer and then the next day she sent us an email asking if we will consider a unit change. We refused to take the unit change as we were not guaranteed the smoking issue will be resolved and finally left the apartment after going back to the property management to ask that we be released based on the fact that full disclosure about the smoking situation was not given. Grateful to God that we found a peaceful place just a few minutes away. We love our new home. A day after we were allowed to leave, Tonia distributed a letter that stated that starting June 30th, Croley Court will become a €œno-smoking€ apartment. I don€™t know how that will work for them but Tonia€™s nonchalant, lackadaisical attitude is enough not to rent this apartment. She did not care about our health and well-being and blatantly showed that.-Communication: Important matters are communicated via a paper slip into your door which I don€™t understand because the landlord has our email addresses and that can just be sent using that.Great location but you can find other apartments in this area that are great and truly care about their residents

Do not waste your time. I put a holding fee on an apartment in September of 2018. The first apartment the lady did not move out. The second apartment I was told I could have in January by Samantha and Danielle. The new lady says there is nothing. No call or anything. So for 3 months I have been waiting on this apartment and I do not get it and I do not get my $100 back. Do you want to go through this especially if you have a kid like me. I dont think so.

The worst apartments i ever lived in. They dont fix anything. When i moved in there was no new carpet or painting due to the fact that the apartment i was supposed to move in had water damage. My hot water heater was not suitable which made my bill go up to 500 living in a 2 bedroom. I was overcharged in rent for 3yrs. I ended up having to call codes and they only gave me a credit of $150. They also lied stating that you had to pay full month of rent when moving out and would receive money back with deposit lol. These apartments are old i knw 5 people who had bed bugs and they never fix anything......i would advise you to RUN!
