After I pointed out this issue, Leslie the Manager changed her attitude. It is strongly advised to be assertive and not let them speak to you any way they want; otherwise, you won't get to be heard. Unfortunately, there are car burglaries in the garage, no security, and the entry gate is broken. The noise pollution is persistent, and when someone complains about it, Drew tries to make it look like it is only everyday noise from the apartments and gets into arguments. My apartment is great, but the management is always in flux with a lack of consistency. They do not communicate properly and you have to constantly stay on top of them. Furthermore, the portal is not user-friendly and the information provided is often incorrect; I once paid through the portal but still incurred a nonrefundable late fee, even after checking with management. They told me that I had paid too soon and they were unable to fix the issue as the portal was not under their control. Additionally, an assistant manager informed me that I owed $1000 more than my lease indicated. After living in the apartment for 2 and a half years, I find this to be unprofessional. Management has also failed to stop the excessive noise coming from my upstairs neighbors, even after I have provided recordings and they agreed to submit multiple lease violations. My advice is to visit the apartments before signing a lease and make an informed decision. The doors are in disrepair, which has caused me to worry about my safety. There has been a considerable amount of turnover amongst the staff. I have voiced my concern about a neighbor smoking marijuana and cigarettes on the balcony; however, I was told that I would need to catch them on camera, which I do not believe should be my responsibility. I ultimately took a video and showed it to someone, but nothing was done in response. The smoking continues, and I suspect that there are more people living in the apartments than what appears on the lease. People who claim they are not students are also living here. The parking garage gate is often broken, and there used to be a placard required to park in the garage or else you would be towed; this is not enforced anymore. My car has been broken into, and the office staff is unreliable, as they do not inform us beforehand when they will be out of office. Additionally, the balconies are not being cleaned out, and people are hanging out their laundry. There is much more I can say, but if I speak up too much, I fear my lease will not be renewed, despite the fact that I enjoy the area and am grateful for the reduced rate. more ... hide ...
