As part of the sale, all the apartments are being renovated. Two big changes are being implemented with the sale: the building is reverting to Federal low-income status, and is now only open to people aged 55 and above. Hopefully, this will reduce the number of undesirables that come with living in this part of town. I think these changes are positive (especially since I'm over 55!). Originally, I have been living here for seven years and, for a low-income apartment building (not public housing, which is something else entirely), it is very good. Several reviews here are not about Valencia Court, but about a different place called 'The Valencia'. The staff at Valencia Court are always on top of things and the maintenance is great. I'm very comfortable in my apartment and I have been quite content here. It should be noted that Valencia Court is not in a great area, so if you're not comfortable around the homeless, this might not be the best place for you. more ... hide ...

These apartments are now the Casa de Sierra apartmentsnI as of yet to move in so the rating may or may not change in the futurenHowever what Ive been reading doesnt jive with what Ive seen happening here apartments and building being completely renov These apartments are now the Casa de Sierra apartmentsnI as of yet to move in so the rating may or may not change in the futurenHowever what Ive been reading doesnt jive with what Ive seen happening here apartments and building being completely renovated walls removed with installation of new plumbing electric etc with completely redone kitchens with all new appliances new walls floors ceilings new water heaters new washerdryers in each unit soon to be complete security building new landscaping new windows and frames installed in each apartment and altogether a pretty impressive rebuild The place is actually being renovated for real and not just getting a face lift The only drawback is the construction is still under going on all floors and will be a while longer before its all finished Personally I can live with that considering the price and quality of what Im getting more ... hide ...
