My family member recently moved in there. The building itself is secure, and clean. Although it does smell old. They have a rec room with vending machines, a nice small library, several computers to use until 9 pm, a poo l table and regular small events for the people living there. The grounds are well kept and all in all its a nice little senior community. Most of the people Ive seen there are friendly enough however it does seem as if most of the tenants are sickly, depressed, lonely or just sad. Its almost a depressing vibe. The apartment itself was okay, its a bit old and could use some remodeling. The walls werent cleaned very well before she moved in but the carpet was new and there is tons of cabinet space. its a perfect size for one person. The only thing is that the area is not the safest at all!. I would never allow my family member to walk anywhere in that neighborhood. There are drug addicts on the corner right when you get off the freeway, all the houses are run down and it looks like a robbery waiting to happen. Hopefully we can find a place for her after her lease is up where she can walk around and take the bus to places without the fear of getting robbed. There are no grocery stores or libraries that are close by. Only a run down Dollar store and Taco Bell with suspicious people hanging around in the parking lot. My suggestion would be although the place itself is safe and nice, the area is not fit to live in unless absolutely necessary. more ... hide ...

Living here hasnt been a nightmare, but its not the best either. Not being a gated community is not a desired trait, but we were told that a security guard would be walking around the property and we are being charged fo r this feature but I have yet to see one ever. My next issue is this valet trash service... We are being charged $25.00 for this service and it isnt necessary. I feel it should be optional. The other many fees that this company charges are a bit out of control as well but I wont bore you with even mentioning them. I would say the worse thing about living here is that the rent and fees go up but Im not seeing any improvements. It just dont make sense. I use to work in the office of apartment complexes and this is just not how things should work. Work orders being closed before even completing the work, the from office never answering phone calls or returning then and being greeting with attitude and defensiveness when you take the time to go in the office to discuss an issue. The customer service needs to improve drastically. Outside of these not so minor things and among other trivial things this place isnt horrible. more ... hide ...
